Schaper Wins Alfred Dunhill Championship in Playoff Thriller

South African youngster Jayden Schaper delighted the home crowd with a verified playoff victory over Shaun Norris at Leopard Creek.
South Africa's Jayden Schaper secured his maiden DP World Tour title on home soil, defeating Shaun Norris in a dramatic playoff to win the 2025 Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek.
After a weather-shortened 54-hole tournament, Schaper and Norris finished tied at 16-under par. The playoff didn't last long, however, as Schaper produced a moment of magic on the first extra hole.
The Winning Moment
Facing a daunting approach over water to the par-5 18th green, Schaper struck a fearless iron shot to within feet of the cup, setting up a winning eagle. Norris, who had carded a final-round 62 just to force the playoff, could not match the youngster's brilliance.
"It's a dream come true to win here," Schaper said.
The victory vaults Schaper up the Race to Dubai standings and secures his card for the next two seasons. Eugenio Chacarra finished solo third at 15-under.
