Ludvig Åberg's 2025 Season: Genesis Victory and Two Ryder Cup Points
Åberg won the Genesis Invitational by one stroke at Torrey Pines, then earned two points from four matches in Europe's 15–13 Ryder Cup victory at Bethpage.
Players Mentioned
Ludvig Åberg's second PGA Tour victory came at the 2025 Genesis Invitational. On February 16, he shot a final-round 66 at Torrey Pines South to finish at 12 under, one stroke ahead of Maverick McNealy.
Four birdies in the last six holes
Åberg entered Sunday two strokes behind the lead. Birdies at the 13th, 14th and 15th brought him into contention, and another at the 18th secured the title. His rounds of 74, 66, 70 and 66 totalled 276.
The tournament had moved from Riviera to Torrey Pines following the Los Angeles wildfires. The win followed Åberg's first PGA Tour title at the 2023 RSM Classic. Field Level Media's tournament report details his closing run.
Two points at Bethpage
In September, Åberg finished his second Ryder Cup with two wins and two losses. He won Friday's foursomes alongside Matt Fitzpatrick and Sunday's singles against Patrick Cantlay, contributing two points to Europe's 15–13 victory.
