Family Affair: Team Kuchar Wins 2025 PNC Championship
Matt and Cameron Kuchar set a new scoring record (-33) to win the PNC Championship in a dominant father-son performance.
The 2025 PNC Championship delivered a record-breaking performance as Matt Kuchar and his son, Cameron Kuchar, stormed to victory at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando.
-33 Under Par
Team Kuchar posted a staggering two-day total of 33-under par (111), setting a new scoring record for the event. Their scramble format play was flawless, with Cameron displaying length off the tee that complemented his father's legendary consistency and touch around the greens.
A Family Celebration
The PNC Championship (formerly the Father/Son Challenge) is unique in professional sports, allowing major champions to compete alongside family members. For Matt Kuchar, a long-time PGA Tour veteran and Ryder Cup stalwart, winning with his son—who is now developing into a competitive player in his own right—was an emotional highlight of his career.
"To do this with Cameron, to see him hit those shots under pressure, it beats any individual trophy," Matt Kuchar said after the round.
Notable Finishers
The Kuchars held off challenges from other legendary duos. The field included Team Woods (Tiger and Charlie), Team Daly (John and John II), and Team various other major winners, but none could match the scorching pace set by the Kuchar duo this December.
