Showing why they were the inaugural champions, Atlanta Drive GC secured a decisive victory over New York Golf Club to start their title defense. The match highlighted the team's familiarity with the format and their ability to execute under the bright lights of the SoFi Center.

Season 2 debuted with significant technological and course design upgrades. Most notably, the "GreenZone"—the massive shapeshifting putting surface—has been increased in size by 38% compared to the first season.
